I'm guessing that you're going back to Singapore? Things must look different after being in New York for a while i suppose. I had been trying to figure out why you even came to NY, sorry for intruding, but did something tragic happen? It feels as though you were trying to get away from everyone. If you're comfortable with sharing i'd be glad to listen.=)-Nelson

I meant going back to my brooklyn apartment from work. Well the very least I can do is to make myself feel at home in a strange land..thus my cozy nest in brooklyn.

And yes, apart from getting away from everyone at home, I dont like to socialize much here either.

Tragic?I dare not use that term. Just part of growing up and learning to deal with life.

NYC is a good place to hermitize yourself as long as one embraces solitude which I very much enjoy.. something which I find alot of people are quietly afraid of..

Ah I see...yes Brooklyn can be very peaceful at times. Especially this thanksgiving break when everyones headed home and the streets are quiet^^. Have you been to the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights? It has a nice view of the city and you might find some peace there.
Yes indeed, NYC can be a really good place to be alone because nobody really cares what you do. Everyone kinda understands that we each have our own way of life so nobody criticises or interferes.Someone once said to me most people living in NYC are in the transition stages of their lives. I guess it's true to a certain extent, at least for me.
I don't socialize much either, partly because I feel that there are very few people who can really understand what I talk about. You find NYC strange? How long have you been here...I'm actually quite used to it here now...the odd thing was I found Singapore strange when I went back in July. But I guess finding it strange is a good thing, it means that NYC is still an interesting place for you^^.
Hope you don't mind that I wrote so much.- Nelson
